- Residents shall be able to do whatever they want whenever they want to do it, unless it directly jeopardizes their own safety or the safety of another resident.
- Residents shall be able to eat whatever they want, whenever they want, wherever they want except when there are clear safety concerns.
- Residents shall be able to sleep whenever they want and get up at any hour they wish.
- Residents shall be safe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- All residents shall have the rights afforded them by federal and state statutes, regulations and HillHouse internal policies AT ALL TIMES.
Residents shall have all of their personal care needs met as often as is required for their well-being and/or as often and in such manner as they request and as directed by their individualized service plan developed by HillHouse nursing, dietary, housekeeping, and activities staff, administration, resident family member(s) and health care providers. The residents service plan shall be followed AT ALL TIMES by all staff, without exception, unless and until the resident directs otherwise or circumstances change. Residents shall be free of pain and all nursing staff shall do whatever is possible, within the confines of the HillHouse license and the license or job description of the staff member, to alleviate pain and discomfort of any sort. All HillHouse staff shall strive AT ALL TIMES to provide care and services in a calm, dignified, compassionate, and safe manner with the residents well-being, safety, and dignity as an absolute priority.
